Happy New Year! Can you believe it’s 2018? To me, every year seems to be going by faster and faster, which is why I hope to set some new intentions in order to get the most out of my 365 days.
- BE KIND TO MY BODY: I'd really like to focus on wellness this year, both physical and mental. Oftentimes I get so distracted with everything going on that I forget to take care of myself. I aim to sleep better, eat better, and exercise more. I think taking some "me time" is so essential to one's health and is beneficial in many different aspects of life.
CONTENT CREATION: Create consistent, quality content for this blog as well on my instagram. I hope to write and photograph more, and turn this website into something real and influential (one day). I'm still trying to find my voice and vision for this blog, so by being more consistent and uploading more content I can hopefully become a stronger content creator.
TECHNOLOGY DETOX: While this may seem contrary to my second intention, I’d like to make a bigger effort not mindlessly be on my phone or computer. There is so much time wasted scrolling through this and that, or texting a friend for hours just trying to make dinner plans. The goal for my tech detox is to use my technology more productively, but then be able to just put it away so I can be more present throughout my day.
CALLING>TEXTING: On another tech note, I want to try calling more than texting. It’s more personal and you can say a lot more in one phone call than you can over a zillion text bubbles.
PLAN AHEAD: This year one big goal of mine is to plan and schedule my life out more. I find that if I keep a busy schedule I’m often more productive than when I have a bunch of free time on my hands. This will also give me the opportunity to try new things and have more adventures.
OPENNESS TO STRANGERS: This seems like kind of a weird goal, but I would really like to try to be more open and willing to talk to strangers. A lot of the time I’m so intimidated by meeting new people that I just keep to myself. I’m never the one to initatiate a conversation or get to know someone, but hopefully this year I can change that, and who knows, maybe I’ll make some new friends along the way!
READ FOR FUN: With the my intention to spend less time on technology, I hope to read more books this year. Reading is such a good way to relax and disconnect, but it also keeps your brain sharp and can increase your vocabulary.
