Happy First Day of Summer! It's here, it's here! Today on ES, contributing editor Karli McCormick will be talking all things beauty, aka the must-have products of the summer. Because, having a summer bod doesn't mean you have to have that "summer bod". So kick back with a family-size bag of potato chips (literally what I am doing right now) and shop the post to get one step closer to glowing summer skin, shiny hair, and much more!
With its calming scent, this soap is a great way to treat yourself after a long day of being out at the beach or pool. Charcoal is a great natural ingredient that really digs deep into clogged pores, perfect to remove any dirt or sunscreen. You can purchase it on Amazon for $15.
This oil is full of essential fatty acids (including omega-3, 6 and 9) that quench dry, sun damaged skin and helps to improve the appearance of burns, scars, wrinkles and stretch marks. And I personally love the scent of roses, so that's always a plus! Originally $17 here, I purchased my bottle at TJMAXX for $6.
This soy-based wax candle with notes of soft rose petals, rain-kissed ivy, and spring musk is the epitome of summer in a candle. Its light scent is the perfect to help you unwind after a long summer day. This candle is from Bath & Body Works and retails for $24.50.
The perfect way to exfoliate after a day at the beach, this natural body scrub infused with tea tree oil (a natural anti-bacterial) and mint gives your skin a luxurious feel. My favorite way to use it is on my shins and calves before I shave in the shower to make sure my skin is extra smooth an shiny for those summer nights out. I purchased mine at TJMAXX for $7.
One of my all-time favorite finishing sprays for my hair has to be this mist from Dry Bar. It gives your hair life and shine as if you just got a fresh blowout. You’ll never have a bad hair day again. This retails for $28 at Sephora.
One of Ouai’s newest innovative products, this dry shampoo foam is basically a shower in a bottle. With a golfball sized amount of product you massage the foam into your scalp to give the illusion of fresh hair. The scent of Ouai products are also unbeatable. I picked mine up from Sephora for $28.
